Accessibility statement
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use dysto.nl, including people with low vision, people who only use a keyboard, people who enlarge text and people who are sensitive to motion. That is why the website is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How we tested
The website was checked in October 2026, in Dutch and English:
- automatically with axe and Lighthouse on every page, on mobile and desktop: no errors found;
- at 21 screen widths from 320 to 2560 pixels: no horizontal scrolling and no text falling off screen;
- manually using only the keyboard: the menu, photo gallery, pause buttons and contact form can be fully operated;
- for colour contrast of text, buttons and form fields.
What we have done
- A "Skip to content" link to bypass the menu, and a clearly visible focus outline.
- A logical heading structure, descriptive alternative text for photos and a set language on every page.
- Moving strips (ticker, photo gallery and partners) pause on hover or focus and can be stopped with a pause button. If you have chosen "reduce motion" in your operating system, you will not see animations.
- The contact form has visible labels and error messages that are read out by screen readers.
- All text is part of the page itself, without requiring JavaScript, and the website remains usable at 400% zoom.
Known limitations
- A full test with screen readers (such as NVDA and VoiceOver) by experienced users has not yet been carried out.
- Text on top of photos has a dark overlay for sufficient contrast. This was checked manually, because automated tests cannot always measure it.
- Links to the websites of our brands and partners open in a new window; those websites are outside the scope of this statement.
